Service Description
Join us for a 4 week beginners tracking course at our private training field. You and your dog will dive into the exciting world of tracking teaching the dog to follow scent and disturbance on the ground. We will really utilises your amazing sense of smell to its fullest potential and build a game you can practice at home. Over the 4 weeks you can expect to build up to different tracks, teach the beginnings of an article indication, look at line handling and gain a much better insight into your dog's incredible sense of smell. On the final week we will move over to a new live venue and have a fun track relay. Different, yet complimentary to our mantrailing, in tracking we teach the dog to keep their nose to the ground and follow the whole track, not just to get to the end. This way we really challenge and channel your dogs natural behaviour and problem solving to encourage focus, confidence and teamwork. DETAILS: • Location: Training Field, Kempsey, Worcester WR5 3PA. What 3 Words: https://w3w.co/oddly.firebird.also. • 4 x 90-minute sessions on our private field each • The course will be taught in a small group class with a maximum of 6 dogs and handlers • Tracking is fully inclusive and suitable for dogs of all ages, including puppies • Your dog must be relaxed and comfortable around other people and dogs, happy to settle in the car for short periods and be fit and healthy to take part. Equipment to bring: • Dogs should wear a harness during sessions but a wide comfortable collar is fine • Owners should bring a lead and a longer line • Lots (and lots) of tasty treats cut up into small pieces stored in a treat pouch or bum bag 5p in size. Please make use of your dogs normal dinnertime meal if required, we will be using lots of food to build the tracks • Your dogs favourite toy or a food clam • Water bowl • Poo bags • This will be outside in all weathers so please bring appropriate clothing and footwear • Dog's coat if needed *Dogs will need to spend short periods in your vehicle during each session. This will be in a secure space but please ensure your dog will be comfortable being left and that they are happy and settled. Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATIONS WITHIN 24 HOURS OF THE START OF ANY CLASS OR COURSE WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND. TRAINING CLASSES/COURSES You can cancel your place up to 2 weeks before the start of class or course and a full refund will be given. Cancellations up to 1 week until start of class or course will be given 50% refund. Any cancellations made in the 7 days before the start of a class or course will not be refunded. This will only be reviewed in exceptional circumstances. If we have to cancel an entire class or course, you will receive a full refund OR be offered and alternative class or course. If we have to re-arrange a session within a class or course due to weather, staff illness, emergency situation etc, we will offer you an alternative date. WE DO NOT GIVE PRO RATA REFUNDS IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND THE ALTERNATIVE OPTION. Whilst we make every effort to carry out classes on the advertised dates there are occasions when it simply isn't possible. 1:1 SESSIONS Once booked these sessions can be cancelled two weeks before training package commences and receive a full refund. Cancellations 1 week before training session commences receive a 50% refund and no refunds are given for cancellations after this time except in exceptional circumstances and prior written agreement. All 1:1 Dog Training Packages must be completed within a 6-month period except upon prior written agreement. COVID 19 IMPORTANT INFORMATION In the event of the introduction of a national or local lockdown all payments taken for 1:1 training, training classes or behaviour consultations will either become a credit on your file or they will continue in an appropriate online format. No refunds will be given but every option will be explored to ensure learning continues for you and your dog safely and in line with your original training goals. All classes will be honoured but please note that COVID-19 government restrictions may result in a delay.
