For puppies aged 8 - 14 weeks approx with 1st Vaccination minimum. Our pre-puppy school is a 3 week mini-course for those puppies who have received their first vaccination and for owners that are eager to get started with their puppy training before enrolling on our 6 week KC Puppy Training Course. You will also receive a copy of our essential PUPPY MANUAL! The classes are run at our indoor facility in Norton Parish Hall, Wadborough Road, Littleworth, Worcester, WR5 2QB. We offer small class sizes of up to 8 puppies to allow for 1:1 support and plenty of space for everyone to learn. Our ‘Puppy Pre-School’ aims to offer help and advice for all your puppy needs and get you on the path to positive puppy training. We will cover everything you need to get you started from treats to toilet training! The great thing about this course is that you are probably all experiencing the same puppy issues so you will be with owners of puppies of the same age, with the same problems. Our course content is below but we are able to be flexible with the content and focus on the specific needs of individuals within the class. What will we cover: · Toilet training – how to nail toilet training quickly and banish those puppy pads! · What is “normal” puppy behaviour? · To crate or not to crate and why you shouldn’t encourage your puppy to sleep on your bed · Puppy biting – what’s normal? All of our top teething tips and what you can do at home to stop your puppy being a crocodile! · Confidence building through our puppy agility equipment. · Puppy play time – learn what ‘good play’ looks like and how to choose appropriate play mates for your puppy. · Successful socialising “it’s not all about dogs!” · Why do puppies jump up at us and how can we discourage it? · Teaching puppy “sit” to say please · Mental Enrichment - Making mealtimes fun and interactive using puzzle toys and things you have at home · Happy handling – learn how to handle your puppy all over to prepare them for vet visits · How to recognise if your puppy is unwell · We will try allocate time in each session to ask questions and share experiences with other puppy owners. What else is included? Please note: To join in training classes you must bring your puppies vaccination record with you.
