IMPORTANT - DOGS MUST BE HAPPY TO STAY IN THE CAR AS THE MAJORITY OF EXERCISES ARE DONE ONE DOG AT A TIME This new and exciting class introduces you and your dog into the exciting world of pet dog scent detection. This course is suitable for any dog new to scent detection or those very early in their scent detection journey looking for extra learning and support from experienced trainers. We all know that dogs have the most amazing noses and sense of smell. Sniffing is what they do naturally and they are brilliant at it. This course is designed to introduce you and your dog to the world of scent detection and harness their natural ability. Dogs are taught to identify and search for a specific odour - we use Gun Oil which is the most common odour in pet dog scent detection. It's a great way for you and your dog to work together as a team, so building your bond whilst increasing your dog's confidence. It uses your dog's brain as they need to concentrate and focus on the task and it is well accepted that mental stimulation can be more tiring than physical exercise alone. The course is taken by College of Scent Dogs City and Guilds qualified instructors and highly experienced and knowledgeable dog trainers. This course will have the support of Sandra Raw owner of Worcester Dogs, a fully qualified scent instructor, Clinical Animal Behaviourist and a full member of the APBC. After you have completed this course we offer:- 3 week progression course ( run every 3 months) Monthly 'scent play' - 90 min sessions aimed at improving scent recognition, motivation to search and handling skills using fun exercises to motivate both dog and human! Monthly 'safe crack' - 3hr environmental searches (school, ruby stadium, rural life centre and many more). This series has an added twist, your goal is to find all the numbers in order to crack code. When you have successfully cracked the code 6 different times you receive a free search. There are also different bonus prizes! weekly beginner scent skills classes to enhance the skills you have learnt with progression to environmental searches in our various locations across Worcestershire - farms, schools, rugby stadiums, rural life centre, coaches and many more. It is also a very social and supportive atmosphere where you and your dog can make new friends both canine and human!.

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATIONS WITHIN 24 HOURS OF THE START OF ANY CLASS OR COURSE WILL NO BE ELIGIBLE FOR A REFUND. TRAINING CLASSES/COURSES You can cancel your place at any class 2 weeks prior to the start of class and a full refund will be given. Cancellations 1 week until start of class will be given 50% refund and any cancellations after this date no refund will be offered. This will only be reviewed in exceptional circumstances. 1:1 SESSIONS Once booked these sessions can be cancelled two weeks before training package commences and receive a full refund. Cancellations 1 week before training session commences receive a 50% refund and no refunds are given for cancellations after this time except in exceptional circumstances and prior written agreement. All 1:1 Dog Training Packages must be completed within a 6-month period except upon prior written agreement. MASTERCLASSES Once booked these sessions can be cancelled two weeks before Masterclass commences and receive a full refund. Cancellations 1 week before Masterclass commences receive a 50% refund and no refunds are given for cancellations after this time except in exceptional circumstances and prior written agreement. A client can reschedule a Masterclass only once and up to 48 hrs before the Masterclass commences. COVID 19 IMPORTANT INFORMATION In the event of the introduction of a national or local lockdown all payments taken for 1:1 training, training classes or behaviour consultations will either become a credit on your file or they will continue in an appropriate online format. No refunds will be given but every option will be explored to ensure learning continues for you and your dog safely and in line with your original training goals. All classes will be honoured but please note that COVID-19 government restrictions may result in a delay.
